Roy Moore's communications director resigns

Republican Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore's communications director, John Rogers, has resigned. The campaign says he made the decision last Friday, and it had nothing to do with the sexual misconduct allegations against Moore.

Rogers decided to leave the campaign last Friday, according to a statement released by the campaign.

"As we all know, campaigns make changes throughout the duration of the campaign, as do those working in the campaign," the statement said. "John made the decision to leave the campaign last Friday -- any representations to the contrary are false -- and we wish him well."

The decision comes as Moore faces multiple allegations of sexual misconduct, including accusations that he made advances on teenagers when he was in his 30s.
